Saying goodbye to your beloved pet, whether after a short or a long time together, may be the hardest thing you will do in your relationship with them. We have been there ourselves, and know that each individual's pain and grieving process is unique. Your path to healing will be different than someone else's so give yourself permission to feel whatever it is that you feel. There is no right or wrong in this situation.

We offer in-hospital euthanasia or you can choose to say goodbye outside of the clinic on a blanket on the grass under the shade of one of our majestic trees (weather permitting). No matter what the location, for the comfort of your pet we encourage you to stay with them while they pass. We promise to make this as easy as possible for both of you.

If you would prefer to say goodbye at home, we can refer you to a trusted mobile veterinarian in our area.

Aftercare is generally in the form of cremation. We use Gateway exclusively for this. Should you wish to have your pet's ashes returned to you, they have a large selection or urns and jewelry to choose from which can be viewed on their website. Burial options are also available through them.
