In addition to pet toothpaste & toothbrushes, we carry the following VOHC-approved diets & treats:
VOHC-Approved Food & Treats are Good... But Brushing Is Best
3 key points to remember:
1. You do not have to do the inside of the teeth but you should brush at least every other day (otherwise the slimy plaque that can be brushed off will have started to harden into calculus which cannot).
2. Never call your pet to you to perform this procedure, just go get them. The reason for this is that we never want your pet to think that something undesirable will happen when they come to you, otherwise they may not come when you need them to, at a time when it could save their life.
3. Keep the sessions short until tolerance is built up and always reward your pet afterwards for letting you do this by giving them a treat or their dinner or having a play or cuddle session, or whatever else it is they love!
