Park Animal Hospital was founded in 1980 by Dr Mirek Hainish. He practiced out of the basement of the house next to the building we now operate out of - living upstairs - which used to be a doctor's office before that. In 1989, the main building you see was completed. He sold everything to Gitte & Mark Fenger in 2010.

Park is evolving, growing, and changing in order to meet the needs of our patients. We have transitioned to computerized records (2011), digital x-rays and the latest in anaesthetic monitoring equipment. We have a wall-mounted fridge dedicated to storing our vaccines only - it has an external warning light to alert us if the temperature is sub-optimal. For patient safety, we have also updated our security and smoke detection systems, inhalant anaesthetic delivery & waste gas removal (2011), added more IV fluid delivery pumps and heating units for patients while under anesthesia. We also have cold laser therapy (no risk of burns). Most recently we have invested in a more efficient furnace and air conditioner (2015) as well as a new sink/shallow tub that doubles as a dental/procedure table in the treatment area (2016). And, finally, we are slowly getting our basement re-built since the disastrous flood we (and so many of you) experienced in July of 2013.
